The Bible promises that those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone and believe in him will spend eternity with him in heaven. If you have believed what the Bible says about salvation, please let us know. We would love to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sheets Memorial Baptist Church is an independent, Bible-believing church proclaiming the central message of the Scriptures: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (I Cor. 15:3-4). Salvation comes not through our good works, but through faith in the finished work of Christ.
We eagerly welcome all to join with us in worshipping our risen Lord! It is our conviction that every believer should seek out a doctrinally sound church, join it, and find a place of ministry to help fulfill the Great Commission.
Membership in Sheets Memorial has two prerequisites: salvation and baptism. The Bible teaches that a person is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. The first step of obedience after salvation is baptism by immersion.
There are three ways to join Sheets Memorial:
(1) by transfer of letter; (2) by statement; or (3) as a candidate for baptism.
You can join by transfer of letter if you are saved and have been scripturally baptized under the direction of a church of like faith. You do not have to bring your letter with you; we will write your church. Secondly, if your membership records have been lost or some other difficulty is present, you can join by statement. Finally, you can join by baptism. This would be the case if you are saved but have not yet been baptized, if you were baptized before you were saved, or if you were baptized in a church with a doctrinal position significantly different from that of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church.
The easiest way to “get the ball rolling” is to come forward during the invitation time at the end of a service or speak with a pastoral staff member and let them know of your desire to join Sheets Memorial. A meeting will be scheduled with the membership committee. During this meeting, we will:
May the Lord direct you in this important decision! Please feel free to contact the church office at any time for more information.
