Frankie Mathews first came to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church as a youth pastor in 1983. After serving as youth pastor for seven years he accepted the call to be the senior pastor here at Sheets. Frankie also serves on the board of Baptist Equipping Nationals (BEN) He is a graduate of Liberty University (B.S. Religion) and is currently working towards his Masters at Piedmont Bible College.
August 23rd 2005 will mark Frankies 30th wedding anniversary to his wife Edith. Frankie and Edith have two sons; Nicholas, 21 and Zachary, 23 (married to Mary Beth) Frankie balances the rigors of ministry by practicing pugilism, martial arts, and pretty much anything outdoors (hunting, backpacking, etc.)

Dan Hightower serves as the Associate Pastor of Education at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. As head principal at Sheets Memorial Christian School he is largely responsible for the oversight and every day administration of the school. Dan first entered the ministry as a youth pastor and principal for a church/school in Inpel, Mississippi. Before coming to Sheets in 1989 Dan served as the principal of Union Grove Christian School in Lexington, NC.
Dan and his wife Becky have been married for 27 years and have two children; Rachel, 24 (married to Brent Ward) and Jonathon, 19. He is an avid deer hunter and fisherman.

Ethan Woodward serves as the Associate Pastor of Youth at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He has been at been at Sheets since June of 2004.
Ethan and his wife Megan have been married for 5 years and have one dog. (Kenai, 2) Ethan practices photography, loves anything to do with basketball and also enjoys a good camping trip.

Edith faithfully serves as the church secretary and has done so since 1990. Originally from Colfax, North Carolina she and her husband worked in the AWANA and youth programs at Thomas Road Baptist Church. (Lynchburg Va.) When not keeping the church running Edith enjoys working out and spending time with her family. Edith and her husband Frankie have two sons; Nicholas, 22 and Zachary, 24 (married to Mary Beth)
