Frankie Matthews

Frankie Mathews first came to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church as a youth pastor in 1983. After serving as youth pastor for seven years he accepted the call to be the senior pastor here at Sheets. Frankie also serves on the board of Baptist Equipping Nationals (BEN) He is a graduate of Liberty University (B.S. Religion) and is currently working towards his Masters at Piedmont Bible College.

 

August 23rd 2005 marked Frankie’s 30th wedding anniversary to his wife Edith. Frankie and Edith have two sons; Nicholas, and Zach,  –(married to Mary Beth) Frankie balances the rigors of ministry by practicing pugilism, martial arts, and pretty much anything outdoors (hunting, backpacking, etc.)

Brian Weer

Brian Weer began serving as Minister of Music in October 2005. Brian and his wife Stephanie have 2 sons, Dylan and Kyle. Brian also teaches music at Salem Baptist Christian School.

Tim Anderson
Tim joined the staff of SMBC as youth Pastor in January of 2010. Tim is married to Stacie Anderson. Together, they have one daughter, Morgan Noelle. Tim loves to play basketball and watch sports.  He also enjoys spending time hunting and doing anything that is outside.

Ethan Woodward

Ethan Woodward serves as the school administrator of Sheets Memorial Christian School. Before taking that position he was the youth pastor at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He has been at been at Sheets since June of 2004.

Ethan and his wife Megan have been married for 7 years and have one daughter (Eden) one dog, (Kenai, 4) and one cat (Phoebe 1) Ethan loves to travel, practices photography, relishes playing chess, loves anything to do with basketball and also enjoys a good camping trip.

M.S. – Educational Administration (2003) Nova Southeastern University.
M.S. - Business Administration - Leadership (2009) - Liberty University

Edith Matthews

Edith faithfully serves as the church secretary and has done so since 1990. Originally from Colfax, North Carolina she and her husband worked in the AWANA and youth programs at Thomas Road Baptist Church. (Lynchburg Va.) When not keeping the church running Edith enjoys working out and spending time with her family. Edith and her husband Frankie have two sons; Nicholas and Zach, –(married to Mary Beth)

Barry Burleson

Barry Burleson serves as the Facilities Director at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. As facilities director he is responsible for the oversight and every day maintenance of the church and school. Barry has been with Sheets since May 2008.

Barry and his wife Cindy have been married for 24 years and have three children; Chris, Meagan and Dalton. He is a veteran of the United Sates Marine Corp. (1971-1973) He is involved in coaching basketball and soccer here at Sheets school and loves participating and watching all sports. He also loves to sing at his church and other churches around the area.
